THE 12TH EDITION OF CHALLENGEKAISERWINKL-WALCHSEE!
Can you believe CHALLENGEKAISERWINKL-WALCHSEE is heading into its 12th edition!
We want to give a short update to all of you:
Apart from the headlining middle distance triathlon, which can also be done as a relay, we are also offering the crowd favourite aquabike event.
All the action kicks off on Saturday with our new Challenge Aquathlon in the classical distance and our traditional Junior Challenge powered by Jolsport. As part of this events, it’s a real honour for us to be the host of the Austrian Aquathlon Championships.
CHALLENGEKAISERWINKL-WALCHSEE has always been an event for the whole family so we’re delighted to see the return of Challenge Women, a 5km run, also taking place on Saturday.
In addition, on race day our livestream will feature both German and English commentary, which will be Belinda Granger.
FEW COVID-RESTRICTIONS DURING RACE WEEKEND!
Our race weekend will take place under almost ‘normal’ conditions. There are no limitations on the number of participants and also spectators are allowed everywhere again. The swim start returns to its original location at the lakeside promenade in Walchsee. We are allowed to offer you massages and the possibility to shower after the race.
Despite the loosening of regulations, there are still a few rules, we ask you to follow to enable all of us a great race without negative after-effects:
- Currently, face masks only have to be worn during bib-number pickup.
- The race briefing will be online. You can find it on our website on Friday before the race.
- Instead of the big Kaiserschmarnparty, every athlete receives the Griaßdi! – Gutschein of the Region Kaiserwinkl. This voucher can be redeemed in 170 different regional spots (restaurants, stores, hotels, campsites, leisure parks…)
- The award ceremony will be outdoors.
